Fine Freiberg is a video artist, musician and media educator.
She studied photography and media art at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig under Tina Bara and Helmut Mark and graduated in 2009. In her artististic and research work, Freiberg examines the relations of archives, the associated image politics and the role of memory.
She works as a videodesigner for various theatre groups including Rimini Protokoll (La danse d'amazon, 2023), Turbo Pascal (Kritter, 2023), Antonia Baehr (Feuer und Flamme, W wie Wollmäuse, Hörposaune 2020-2022), SheShePop (Hexploitation, 2021), Christoph Winkler (On Hela, 2019) and Hebbel am Ufer Theatre Berlin.
As an assistant professor at the UdK Berlin from 2016-2019 she gave lectures on the topics of the archive, image politics and media theory and supervised students projects.
In addition to her artistic work, Freiberg collaborates with artists from the fields of theatre and art.
